The East Palo Alto Academy Foundation (EPAAF) is the non-profit education foundation dedicated solely to East Palo Alto Academy (EPAA) and the college aspirations of EPAA graduates.

East Palo Alto Academy, or EPAA, is a public, tuition-free charter high school in the Sequoia Union High School District that has prepared young people in East Palo Alto and the surrounding community to succeed since 2001.

  • EPAA welcomes students from diverse backgrounds and strives toward the vision that all students will graduate college-ready, empowered with the knowledge, skills and passion to positively impact their own lives, their community and the global society.
  • EPAA leadership and faculty believe a high quality education is a precious right that should be afforded to all.
  • EPAA offers a unique blend of personalized learning, college preparation, early college access and wellness programming.
  • EPAA’s educational model has resulted in an extraordinary high school graduation rate that has averaged 95% over the last five years, far higher than the national average for similar student populations.

East Palo Alto Academy Foundation supports EPAA:
EPAAF enables EPAA to offer the small class sizes, intensive college preparation and other programs and services designed so that each student may graduate college-ready. The cost of these services and opportunities goes well beyond the limits of public funding, and they are critically important.

East Palo Alto Academy Foundation supports EPAA graduates in college:
The majority of EPAA graduates are the first in their families to graduate from high school and the first to attend college. Each year, EPAAF supports dozens of East Palo Alto Academy graduates in their quest for a college degree.

  • Through its college scholarship program, EPAAF has awarded over $2.4 million since 2007, supporting 45 college students in 2017-18 alone.
  • Thanks to EPAAF’s College Success Counselor, our first generation college students have the benefit of personal support and advice as they navigate their college journey.

EPAAF is proud to support the transformative work of East Palo Alto Academy and the college dreams of its graduates.  We invite you to join us.

EPAA is still enrolling for 10th-12th grades! Call (650) 839-8900 for more information.
